Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Will travel to Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Naples, Cape Coral, Orlando and most Floridian cities to buy your old 78 rpm victrola records!
Greetings to all, my name is Ivan and I simply collect 78 rpm records along phonographs/gramophones to play them. Also cylinders but I’ve yet to own a phonograph for them. Some other details about the records and myself is that I’m located in Florida, specifically in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Though I can travel very far if needed, for example I purchased a 10,000+ record collection in Jacksonville. Enough about me though, 78 rpm records are typically 10 inch (though sizes of 12, 7 and a whole bunch of other ones were used decently also) that also are unbendable, hard, and quite old (1890s-1950s/60s).
Cylinders are blue/brown/black/pink/whatever color small cylinders with a very large hole that started in the 1890s but ended in the 20s. They typically have names and words like “amberol”, “amberola”, “Edison” etc. Their age makes them sometimes a bit challenging to find and I plan to make this site change that, though I am not completely selfish as I’d like to establish connections with other collectors and share recordings via my youtube channel “Colonel Bogey’s Faux Cow”.
I will also host sales of records on this site and already have a few hundred that I’m planning to sell. Here I will discuss my interests, contacts, some basic advice, and even more!!
WHY SELL TO ME? - Well there are already few people who advertise buy 78s in Florida, but this site and maybe another are the sole specialists in 78s and cylinders. On Facebook marketplace or craigslist you have to wait months on end to wait for someone to actually message and show interest into your own listing. I’ll reply SAME DAY and can pick up as soon as SUNDAY!

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW that most records are not collectable and are worth from a few cents to a dollar, that is even if you buy them. For example most records from labels Columbia (RED, black and blue acoustics are interest and potential value), RCA Victor (Victor scrolls and acoustics are of interest and sometimes value), MGM, Mercury, and a whole boat load of labels. It seems nowadays people price their records from listings on eBay which is typically very inaccurate and overpriced for common records. If you want to look at a possible price for a record look it up on popsike or rootsvinyguide, sold price actually says something rather than asking price. Though I’ll be buying lots typically so prices will always be a fraction of the amount of records. THOUGH I CAN VALUE AND TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR RECORDS as who knows what may lurk. So yes I would certainly look through the hundreds of common stuff for a few or even one rare record.
